It’s the church that everyone I know has been to! I guess you could say it’s the “mega church” of the Capital Region, with a 1500 seat sanctuary, cafes, a youth club, several meeting rooms and offices, and the hub for many ministries and events.  Their previous weekend’s total attendance (3 services) was 1,929 people!

I arrived to find a small gathering of people in the “fireside room”, passionately praying for the service and for unity. I joined them and felt at home instantly, sensing the Holy Spirit and the like-mindedness in the room. After a time of prayer, some went into the sanctuary and continued praying individually.

The Saturday evening service began at 5:00 pm. The sanctuary was much larger than what I am used to, giving it a “concert like” feel.  The worship team began to play and I saw many people around me entering into worship.   After about 20 minutes, the guest speaker was introduced, Jeff Stasko, who gave a heart filled, passionate message on Revival.

“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”  2 Chronicles 7:14

Jeff stated, “I believe we have reached a tipping point!’. He spoke on 3 main points that were prerequisites for revival:  1) Reading the Bible more, 2) Unity and love in the Body of Christ, and 3) A deeper revelation of who God is.   This message really resonated with me and increased the passion for Revival in my own heart.   Listen to Jeff’s entire message – https://player.vimeo.com/video/172937133

Jeff closed his message with the song by Addison Road, “What Do I Know of Holy”

What do I know of holy? What do I know of wounds that will heal my shame? And a God who gave life it’s name? What do I know of holy of the One who the angels praise? All creation knows Your name on earth and heaven above What do I know of this love?

What do I know of You who spoke me into motion? Where have I even stood but the shore along Your ocean? Are You fire? Are You fury? Are You sacred? Are You beautiful? What do I know? What do I know of Holy?

Jeff began “Albany Revival” and is currently holding prayer meetings every Thursday at the State Capitol – www.facebook.com/albanyrevival

After the service, I had the pleasure of meeting Matty Miranda, a pleasant young man who kindly offered to give me a tour of the church campus, and answered several of my questions.   It was obvious to me he was quite happy to be a part of what was happening at Grace.

Grace Fellowship proved to be a wonderful visit. It’s the church you can go to and always bump into someone you know!  It’s the church with all of the best programs for the youth.  It’s nice to know there’s a place like Grace Fellowship, a church that truly has made a huge impact for the Kingdom!
